Our Policies
Read below for our policy information.
We understand that sometimes plans change and unexpected things happen. If you need to cancel or change your appointment, we simply ask that you give us as much notice as possible.
Late cancellations and missed appointments mean that we often cannot offer the appointment to another client who may be waiting to be seen. This policy helps us manage appointments fairly and reduce repeated last-minute cancellations.
If you need to cancel
Please contact us as soon as you know you cannot attend your appointment.
Where an appointment is cancelled on the day or the client does not attend (no-show), the following fees may apply:
| Appointment Type | Fee |
|---|---|
| Standard appointments | $60 |
| Diagnostic & Vestibular appointments | 100% of the appointment fee |
These fees are not intended to penalise clients when something unexpected happens. Our staff use their discretion when applying fees and will consider the circumstances of each situation.
Exceptional Circumstances
We understand that genuine emergencies and unexpected circumstances can happen.
If you have to cancel at short notice due to circumstances outside your control, please let our team know what has happened. We will consider the situation on an individual basis and use our discretion when deciding whether a fee should apply.
Repeated Late Cancellations or No-Shows
Where a client regularly cancels at short notice or does not attend appointments, cancellation fees may be required to be paid before re-booking your next appointment.
If you are unable to attend, please let us know as early as possible. Even a few hours’ notice can give us an opportunity to offer the appointment to another client.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us make our appointments available to those who need them.
At ONDC Hearing Specialists, we want to make sure your assessment results are shared with the appropriate people involved in your care.
Referring Doctor
Where you have been referred to ONDC by a doctor, your report and results will be sent to the referring doctor following your appointment.
This allows your referring doctor to receive the information they need to support your ongoing care.
Would you like your results sent to another doctor?
For privacy and security reasons, we can provide the report directly to you, allowing you to forward it to your preferred doctor or healthcare professional.
Third-Party
Where an assessment has been requested or paid for by a third-party, reports and results will be provided in accordance with the relevant referral, funding or service arrangement.
No Referral
If you require a copy of your test results without having a referral, please let our team know prior to your appointment.
Questions About Your Results
If you have questions about your report or results, please contact our team and we will be happy to assist you.
When you attend ONDC, we may collect information such as your contact details, medical and hearing history, referral information, appointment details and information relating to the services we provide.
