Medicare Rebates

Medicare rebates may apply for diagnostic services when referred by a medical practitioner.

Medicare rebates do not apply to hearing rehabilitative services unless the services are performed under a chronic care plan. If your GP has referred you under a “Chronic Disease Management Plan” and one of the services specified in this plan is Audiology, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for those rehabilitative Audiology services.
